My son came from Donetsk 10 months ago.
He works about 55 hours a week for about 5 months.
He already rented his appartment and 3 days ago
bought his new car - Nissan Versa 2009.
Donetsk's roots are good !:)

my ex-colleague leave Donetsk in October 2008 and went to Alabama on job's invitation. She rented apartment immediately (as i know 500$ per month) and bought a car in 2 month.
So, no wonder!

U don't understand the difference between H1B-Visa ( working visa)
and greencard.
H1B - the money is here from day 1.

Certainly strong... I've been to US with my friend, we were the participants in one fair. And my friend ranked third place in it and got about 3k $
